We’re looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the Finance team where you will be delivering a professional and customer focused service to all parts of the business.

We’re ideally looking for candidates who are available immediately and can start with us on a temporary or fixed term contract but we will also consider a permanent opportunity.

Role purpose

The Finance Assistant is a supporting role typically processing financial transactions and providing timely and accurate financial information and reports.

Your key responsibilities will be:-

  • Collecting and accurately recording financial information across various systems, inputting financial data, accounting entries and information as required
  • Completing financial reconciliations, identifying, and highlighting discrepancies
  • Creating and providing a range of reports
  • Providing ad-hoc assistance, analysis, and insights on specific issues as required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across processes and systems and team working
  • Working positively and collaboratively in everything you do
  • Undertaking any reasonable duties in accordance with the general role requirements and being flexible and pro-active with changing priorities and focus

About you

To be successful you’ll have proven experience working in a similar Finance role. We welcome people who are either AAT level 2 qualified or have the drive and ambition to work towards achieving the qualification in the future.

You’ll have experience of effectively working with computerised finance systems and applications and also haven intermediate Excel skills and competent skills of Microsoft Office Suite.

It goes without saying that in this role, you’ll be accurate and have excellent attention to detail, and we’d also like to see you use your analytical and problem solving skills. As you can imagine, whilst we get ready for our exciting launch next year, workload can be high so having the ability to organise and prioritise your workload whilst working to deadlines is key.
